AMBLESIDE & GRASMERE
A day full of breathtaking scenery as you tour through the stunning Lake District and enjoy visits to some of the most popular towns in the area. Travel past Lake Windermere towards Ambleside where can stop and soak up the wonderful views and explore the quaint countryside charming village, then onto Grasmere, famous for Wordsworth & gingerbread, before we return to the hotel.
CARTMEL & GRANGE & LAKE CRUISE
Grange-Over-Sands is a pretty Edwardian resort which is a short distance from the hotel and has some of the finest parks and gardens on the Cumbria coast, with many of the quaint shops retaining their original Edwardian design, it provides an ideal escape from a busy world with old-fashioned friendliness, relaxation and beautiful scenery. After time here we travel to the lovely lakeland village of Cartmel, famous for its 12th century priory, racecourse and home of sticky toffee pudding. In the afternoon we journey along to Bowness on Windermere where you have leisure time to explore before our relaxing cruise of Lake Windermere to finish off the day.
NORTH LAKES TOUR
A full day tour of the North Lakes as we journey towards the market town of Keswick. Overlooking Derwentwater and the fells beyond, you have time at leisure to explore the quaint shops and attractions before we tour along the banks of beautiful Bassenthwaite Lake and have a stop in Cockermouth. Here you could visit Wordsworth House & Garden, the many shops and cafes before we return to the hotel in time for dinner.
