Three very exciting rail journeys await you this week on our holiday based in Speyside. Take a trip on the Aviemore Funicular Railway in the heart of the Cairngorms, be amazed on the Kyle Line from Inverness to Kyle of Lochalsh and enjoy the breathtaking scenery on the World Famous West Highland Line. The Nethybridge Hotel will be your welcoming base for this tour and here you can enjoy the peaceful surroundings of the Cairngorms as a breathtaking backdrop.

KYLE LINE & KYLE OF LOCHALSH
After breakfast we travel north to catch the train for a scenic journey you will never forget. Travel by rail on the Kyle Line and marvel at the stunning views as the train takes you through the most impressive and remote scenery in the Scottish Highlands. Arriving at Kyle of Lochalsh to spend time to enjoy the views before returning to Nethy Bridge by majestic lochs and through spectacular glens in time for your delicious evening meal.
FUNICULAR RAILWAY
You will get a morning trip on the newly opened funicular railways near Aviemore, enjoying the amazing views from the pinnacle. After time up the mountain come back down to level ground and our coach will whisk you through the beautiful Speyside surroundings in the afternoon to Aviemore for time to explore, then enjoy a trip around Grantown On Spey before returning to the hotel in Nethy Bridge.
WEST HIGHLAND LINE
Today we travel to visit the mighty Glenfinnan Monument and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Lochaber to the fishing port of Mallaig. Here you can enjoy some time for lunch and exploring the fishing village before boarding the diesel train for return journey to Fort William on the West Highland Line. This journey is described as one of the world’s most scenic railway journeys and you will get to experience this magical voyage by glens and silver sand beaches.
