Today you travel on the morning ferry from Oban over to the Isle of Mull. Landing at Craignure, the coach will travel to Fionnphort, the most westerly point of the island, where you take the short ferry crossing on foot to the small and magical Island of Iona. Explore the island’s most valued treasures including the Abbey founded by St Columba in 563, the Augustine nunnery and Rèilig Odhrain; burial ground of many early Scottish Kings. The coach will take you back across Mull for the ferry crossing to the mainland late afternoon. (Ferry crossings subject to weather)

A full day to yourself to explore the town of Oban at your leisure. The town lies in a crescent occupying the hills surrounding Oban Bay and is a busy town with cafes ans restaurants, with a wide selections of activies and attractions such as McCaigs Tower, Oban Distillery & Dunollie Castle.

Enjoy some of the most unspoilt scenery today as we travel south to visit the Mull of Kintyre, and some of its prettiest towns. Tarbert on Loch Fyne is an attractive village which for many visitors acts as the gateway to the beautiful peninsula of Kintyre. Backed by rugged hills and fronting on to an attractive natural harbour, the village is still home to a working fishing fleet and is an increasingly popular destination for the yachting fraternity. Tabert’s harbour front is very pretty, and is best appreciated from Robert the Bruce's 14th century castle above the town. Only the ivy-strewn ruins of the keep remain, though the view from the overgrown rubble makes the stroll up here worthwhile. There are steps up to the castle and a red waymarked path from the harbour front. After time here the coach will travel northwards along the beautiful banks of Loch Fyne towards Inveraray where you will have time to explore the town's castle, jail and other gift shops and restaurants.

Sitting in the heart of Oban the beautiful Royal Hotel is a short walk from the harbour and local attractions. Original Victorian features are complimented by a fresh new bar area and lounge, and with a roaring open fire makes the hotel cosy and inviting, John Horne and his staff look forward to welcoming you.
