Newquay, St Ives & The Scilly Isles

Thursday 14th
Today you join the coach for the first day of this lovely holiday to Cornwall, travelling to our 1st overnight stop in the Coventry area. Dinner will be served this evening in the hotel restaurant.

Friday 15th
After breakfast we travel through the morning and enjoy a stop in the City of Bath. Explore this beautiful city at your leisure and then we continue our journey to Newquay arriving later afternoon. We check into the lovely Barrowfield Hotel, which is a short walk from the shops and 200 yards from Newquay's stunning beaches. Dinner this evening and some entertainment.


Saturday 16th
After breakfast, enjoy a full day at leisure in Newquay to explore and enjoy all the attractions on offer. Why not enjoy a stroll along to Fistral Beach, one of Newquay's finest, and then enjoy some tea in the Headland Hotel, famous filming location for Roahl Dahl's novel The Witches. Or there's a wonderful 18 hole golf course and miles of other sandy beachs to explore such as Porth, Whipsiderry Beach & Mermaid Pools or cliffside trails to Watergate Beach. The day is yours! Enjoy dinner this evening in the hotel restaurant.


Sunday 17th
Packed breakfast from the hotel this morning as we depart early and join the coach for a journey to the wonderful Isles of Scilly*. Departing from Penzance harbour, and landing at pretty St Mary you'll be welcomed by a tropical paradise of white sandy beaches, stunningly clear waters and fantastic shops, cosy pubs and delightful cafés in the main town of Hugh Town. Don't forget your camera today to capture memories of this beautiful isle. We return to the mainland late afternoon, and enjoy dinner in a local hotel on return to Penzance Harbour. We arrive back in Newquay approx 9pm this evening.


Monday 18th
After breakfast, join the coach for a full day excursion to visit Land’s End, St Michael's Mount & St Ives. Get your pictures at the signpost and enjoy the views before we take the short journey through Penzance arriving at Marazion which overlooks St Michael's Mount. Enjoy a picture stop here before we journey to the pretty town of St Ives this afternoon where you can spend the rest of your day leisure exploring the towns' beautiful beaches, art galleries, shops and restaurants. 

Tuesday 19th
Depart Newquay early this morning as we travel towards home and have an overnight stay in a comfortable hotel in the Coventry area, with a journey through and stop in the Cotswolds for lunch on the way to the hotel.

Wednesday 20th
After a hearty English breakfast, depart the hotel and enjoy the journey back home.

* Isle of Scilly excursion:  We recommend you take suitable footwear as the weather is changeable. The exact duration of your journey will depend on the tides and weather, but it usually takes between 2 hours 45 minutes to 3 hours. The excursion to the Isles of Scilly and time spent on the island is subject to operational and weather conditions and an alternative excursion may be offered. This tour may not be suitable for passengers with mobility issues.

THE BARROWFIELD HOTEL - NEWQUAY

The hotel is ideally located, just 200 yards from Tolcarne beach, considered one of the best in the area and only a short 10 minute stroll from Newquay town centre. The hotel has its own heated indoor swimming pool with hot tub and sauna as well as a snooker and childrens games room. The entertainment room features live entertainment every night and the spacious lounges offer plenty of space to relax in. A new bar, coffee shop and reception were constructed in 2016 helping to keep the hotel up to date.
