Well known for its scenery & seafood, Ardsishaig is set on the banks of Loch Gilp and is our new base for  this 5 day tour to the Inner Hebrides. Visit Islay, popular for its whisky distilleries and abundant scenery. There is also a tour to Fort William and Glencoe, with time in Oban and Inveraray too on our most popular tour to the West Coast & Islay.

ISLAY

Today we take the short journey to Kennacraig where you will take the morning ferry crossing to the ‘Queen of the Hebrides’ - Islay. Enjoy the stunning views of Jura and Gigha as you make your way over the water landing at Port Ellon around lunchtime. We will travel to Bowmore where you will have leisure time to explore. Enjoy the beautiful island scenery before returning to the mainland from Port Askaig late afternoon. Have a relaxing sail back to the mainland before arriving back to the hotel this evening, where you will be welcomed back with a delicious dinner.  (ferry crossing subject to weather) 

FORT WILLIAM & GLENCOE

Enjoy an excursion through the stunning Glencoe landscapes to Fort William this morning to explore the Highland town. After time at leisure rejoin the coach as you are whisked through the Lochaber scenery to the Glenfinnan Monument. Here you can take in the wonderful views along Loch Sheil and see the Visitor Centre for history on the area.

OBAN & INVERARAY

Enjoy a morning visit to Oban then through the stunning scenery of the West Coast & Argyll to visit the popular tourist spot of Inveraray. There is much to see here with its fabulous historic jail, Inveraray Castle which featured in film & tv, and plenty of gift shops and places to grab a bite to eat. Return to Ardishaig late afternoon in time for dinner in the hotel this evening.

Grey Gull Hotel, Ardishaig

The hotel was originally built in 1872 as a Hunting Lodge for the Poltalloch Estate. It sits in a prime location bordered by the historic Crinan Canal and Loch Gilp, close to where they both flow into Loch Fyne. The hotel offers a bar, lounge and restaurant with the freshest seafood always on the menu. Some rooms offer loch views, and are ensuite with TV, tea/coffee making facility and wi-fi. Lovely walks can be enjoyed around the area.
