John O’Groats, Wick & North Coast 500
Enjoy a full day travelling the western North Coast 500 today. Also known as ‘Scotland’s Route 66’ this scenic journey will be something to remember as you travel by some magnificent beaches and seascapes by Brora and Helmsdale before arriving in Thurso. The coach will then take you to the true north east tip of the mainland at Duncansby Lighthouse, where if you take the short 5 minute walk from the coach park, will be rewarded with amazing views of the magnificent Duncansby Stacks. A stop in John O’Groats for shopping and pictures before you then travel back along the beautiful coastal trail arriving in Strathpeffer in time for your dinner.
Dornoch
Enjoy a morning to yourself to explore Dornoch. There’s a lot to see including the beautiful beach a short walk from the hotel, the Cathedral, shops and unknown to many - the Witchstone. The coach will take you to nearby village of Tain this afternoon where you can browse the many shops, museum and quaint streets before returning to the hotel in Strathpeffer in time for dinner this evening.
Dunrobin Castle & Golspie
Dating back to the 1300’s, the mighty Dunrobin Castle sits on a high terrace overlooking the North Sea, and you will have plenty of time here to enjoy the stunning interior rooms and gardens this morning. We also have a stop in Golpsie where you can enjoy a walk through the old town or on the beach before returning to the hotel.
