SOUTH WEST 300
Our excursion today will take you along the beautiful South West 300 Coastal Route. We depart the hotel and have our first stop in Kirkcudbright - Scotland’s Art Town. Our next stop on the journey is Threave House Gardens, near Castle Douglas. Explore the beautiful gardens at your leisure before we travel back towards our hotel through the unspoilt Galloway Forest Park.
DUMFRIES HOUSE
Today we enjoy a lovely journey up the Ayrshire Coast to visit Dumfries House. The beautiful home of 5th Earl of Dumfries, and now better known for King Charles III’s restoration works, the house sits in a 2000 acre estate. Enjoy a guided tour and time to explore the extensive gardens and shops at your leisure. We return to the hotel in Stranraer later this afternoon.
PORTPATRICK & LOGAN BOTANIC GARDENS
Join the coach this morning for a visit to Portpatrick where you will have time at leisure to explore the popular seaside village. In the afternoon take a journey to the beautiful Logan Botanic Gardens. The gardens avenues and borders feature a spectacular and colourful array of half-hardy perennials and is warmed by the Gulf Stream which enables plants from New Zealand and Southern Africa to thrive here.
