SAT: SCARBOROUGH (EVENING LIGHT PARADE)
After a full English breakfast in the hotel this morning, enjoy the day at leisure to explore the resort of Scarborough. The seaside town has much to offer including 12th century castle, parks & award winning gardens, gift and boutique shops, museums and miniature railway. During our stay Scarborough is hosting the evening Goldwing Light Parade on the West Pier. This glittering Parade & Fireworks Display has become a popular tradition for Scarborough, bringing thousands of bike fans from around the UK to the South Bay for a seafront party every September. Goldwing motorcycles sporting neon lights transport a fleet of riders on a procession around the Marine Drive, illuminating both sides of the shoreline, before the night is closed out with a show-stopping fireworks display.
SUN: WHITBY & YORKSHIRE DALES
Whitby is a favourite resort of many, with its ruined Abbey made famous in Bram Stokers Dracula novel. Wander through the towns' busy quayside with its many shops and cafes to enjoy. There is also the Captain Cook Museum, Pannett Park & Gardens, Church of St Mary and the beautiful Whitby Beach to enjoy here. On our return journey to Scarborough, we take the scenic route back through the North Yorkshire Dales with a stop in the pretty market town of Pickering. Enjoy a delicious dinner on your return to the Royal Hotel in Scarborough this evening.
