The Isle of Wight

DAY 1: Join the coach for the start of your adventure to the beautiful Isle of Wight. Overnight stay in a hotel this evening with dinner provided.

DAY 2: This morning we continue our journey. We spend some time in Southampton where you can enjoy some time exploring the Cultural Quarter or wander the waterfront full of maritime history. Travelling to the port mid-afternoon for our sailing to the Isle of Wight and check into the 3* Daish's Hotel in Shanklin, your comfortable accommodation for the following 4 nights.

DAY 3:  We have a tour of the island’s west coast today with visits to Alum Bay, where the iconic Needles Landmark which stretches out into sea commemorating the location of Marconi’s first wireless transmission. Time to explore here before we visit Yarmouth, with its historic 16th century castle and Grade II listed pier. The port town has local gift shops and cafes to enjoy. 

DAY 4:  Enjoy breakfast in the hotel and then a day in Shanklin at your leisure. The town has a beautiful sandy beach, Shanklin Chine, parks and gardens and many shops to explore.

DAY 5:  We enjoy a day exploring the east of the island today and journey to Ryde, a traditional town with promenade, pleasure pier and award winning beach. Enjoy time here before travelling on to the beautiful little village of Godshill which boasts some of the islands oldest architecture. The Museum of Island and Roman Villa are all within walking distance of its centre. In the afternoon we travel to Ventnor along the coast. Enjoy time here to explore the seaside town with award winning park and Botanic Gardens, many shops , bars and restaurants. 

DAY 6:  We depart the island this morning on the ferry and travel north to begin our journey back home. On the way we have a stop for lunch and refreshments before arriving in our overnight accommodation in Harrogate.

DAY 7: After a hearty breakfast, we depart the hotel and Enjoy the return journey back home from the unforgettable Isle of Wight.

Situated on Shanklin High Street, the original building was an 18th century coaching inn, and you can still see a number of the period features today. The hotel's coffee shop serves light snacks and refreshments, perfect for enjoying in the hotels large garden and sun terrace. In the evening you'll enjoy some of the islands best acts in the Tally Ho Bar. Awarded a Tripadvisor Travellers Choice Award again in 2022, for the 8th year in a row.
At the hotel, all rooms have a desk, a flat-screen TV, a private bathroom, bed linen and towels. All guest rooms will provide guests with a wardrobe and a kettle.
