Join us for a new 8 day holiday as we take you to the beautiful Cornwall Coast.  On this new break, you will have the chance to visit some of this areas most popular towns and glorious gardens, including the fabulous Lost Gardens of Heligan, The Eden Project, Trebah Gardens, the picturesque fishing village of Looe, Padstow and Falmouth, as well as Newquay, St Austell and leisure time in St Ives. We have 2 overnight stops for you on this holiday on the outward & return journeys to make this a relaxing break to the Cornish Coast.

Excursions

Day 1
Today you join the coach for the first day of this lovely holiday to Cornwall, travelling to our 1st overnight stop in the Coventry Hotel. A delicious 3 course dinner will be served this evening in the hotel's restaurant.

Day 2
After a hearty full breakfast we travel through the morning and enjoy a stop in the City of Bath for a few hours. Explore this beautiful city at your leisure and then we continue our journey to St Ives arriving early evening. We check into St Ives Bay Hotel where you can relax and enjoy your dinner this evening in the restaurant.

Day 3
After a delicious breakfast, join the coach for a day excursion to visit Trebah Gardens, Falmouth & Marazion. Our first port of call this morning is the fishing village of Falmouth on the eastern coast which boasts a fascinating maritime history. Explore at your leisure the shops, cafes & restaurants here before we  travel to the spectacular Trebah Gardens - a sub-tropical paradise with a coastal backdrop, steeped in heritage and packed with exotic planting from around the world. At the edge of the garden is Polgwidden Cove, Trebah’s private beach exclusive for garden visitors. Explore here then we travel to Marazion where you can enjoy Mount Bay beach, perfect for a stoll and offering views to St Michael’s Mount, the gift shops, cafes and local pubs.

Day 4
After breakfast, enjoy a full day at leisure in St Ives to explore and enjoy all the attractions on offer. Home to the Tate Gallery, be sure to discover the town's rich artistic heritage and keep a look out for seals and wildlife along the coastal walks. Whether you're looking to browse the lovely boutique shops for a memento, relax on the beaches, take a wildlife cruise around the coast or sample the delicious local seafood on offer, you're sure to have a wonderful day at leisure in St Ives.

Day 5
Today after a delicious breakfast in the resort, enjoy a proper Cornish treat as we visit Newquay & Padstow. Famous for it's fishing port and also Rick Stein, Padstow offers many boutique shops and galleries. There's time to sit in the harbour and watch the fresh catches coming in off the sea. Newquay is our next stop today. Why not enjoy a stroll along to Fistral Beach, one of Newquay's finest and then enjoy some tea in the Headland Hotel, famous filming location for Roahl Dahl's novel The Witches. Or there's miles of other sandy beaches to explore such as Porth, Whipsiderry Beach & Mermaid Pools or cliffside trails to Watergate Beach.

Day 6
This morning after breakfast in the hotel we travel to the picture-perfect Looe, a beautiful secluded town with stunning sandy beaches to explore. St Austell is also on our list today, and this vibrant town has many gift shops, cafes and even a brewery to keep you busy. We visit the historic port of Charlestown, once a hub of activity for exports but now better known for Poldark filming location. The Shipwreck Treasure Museum is a must stop here. Onwards to end our day in the Lost Gardens of Heligan - a popular visitor attraction which features the UK’s only outdoor jungle, many walks and tropical plants from all over the world.

 

Day 7
After breakfast we depart St Ives and enjoy an excursion to the Eden Project on our journey northwards. This popular visitor attraction features biomes encasing thousands of tropical plants from all over the world.  After a few hours here to explore at your leisure, we journey to our next hotel for the overnight stay this evening.

Day 8
In the morning after breakfast in the hotel, we enjoy the journey back home to Scotland.

 

 

 

ST IVES BAY HOTEL - CORNWALL

The St. Ives Bay Hotel has 87 bedrooms, with a selection of single, twin, double, and family rooms available. Superior rooms are also available, and for some truly spectacular views we also have rooms overlooking the bay. A restaurant is located in the hotel that serves breakfast, dinner, and evening meals. Located right on the beachfront, you can be on the beach from your hotel room in no time at all. The beaches in St. Ives are ideal for having fun in the sea, getting a good tan, or just relaxing in good company.
