JOHN O'GROATS & EAST COAST ROUTE
Travel today to see one of the most beautiful areas of Scotland along the North Coast 500 route to John O’Groats. This part of the North Coast 500 is one of our favourites, where you are one minute so close to the sea you could almost touch it, then the scenery dramatically changes at Berridale Braes as you climb up the cliffs to meet Lybster & Ulbster before arriving in John O'Groats at the very tip of the North. Sample the shops here and maybe a walk along to Duncansby Stacks for those who wish before we travel back to the hotel with a stop in Dornoch on our return to Strathpeffer. This area of Scotland is one of the most beautiful and rugged and you will have plenty of photo oportunities today.
ULLAPOOL & WEST COAST ROUTE
We depart Strathpeffer this morning to embark on our journey along the West route, travelling by the magnificent lochs and seascapes of the North West Coast with a stop in Ullapool to enjoy the views over Loch Broom. You will have time to explore this picturesque Highland town, enjoy the shops and cafes before we travel south along the banks of Loch Ewe to Gairloch. Set on the shores of a sea loch, the village offers wonderful views to the Isle of Skye. Explore the sandy beach and the Gairloch Museum before we return to the hotel in Strathpeffer for our final evening stay.
