ULLAPOOL & GAIRLOCH
Travel through the stunning Highland glens, before being graced with the beautiful sight of Loch Broom and Ullapool. You will have time to explore this picturesque Highland town and enjoy the shops before we travel back to the hotel along the banks of Loch Ewe to Gairloch. Time to wander the sandy beach and take in the views over to Skye & Raasay before joining the coach for the stunning scenic journey back to the hotel in Strathpeffer.
ISLE OF SKYE
A full day excursion to Skye today. Travel through the unspoilt scenery of Strath Bran and Strath Carron before we cross the bridge to Skye. Soak up the views of the Inner Sound, Scalpay & Raasay before arriving in the harbour town of Portree. This journey is one of the most scenic in the UK and make sure you take your camera to capture all the wonderful scenery on the way. Time to explore the town at leisure before the journey back to to Strathpeffer in the afternoon, with a photo stop at the most iconic castle in Scotland - Eilean Donan.
LOCH NESS CRUISE, BOTANIC GARDENS & CULLODEN BATTLEFIELD
After a hearty Scottish breakfast in the hotel we journey through the Highlands to Dochgarroch Moorings at the mouth of Loch Ness where we join a cruiser and explore the ancient loch by boat. Learn about the geology and history of Scotland's most famous Loch, before we rejoin the coach and travel along the River Ness to visit the Botanic Gardens in Inverness. Explore the seasonal and exotic plants on display and enjoy some leisure time for lunch in the cafe. This afternoon we tour the short journey to Culloden Battlefield - the site of the Jacobite Rising's bloodiest & final battle against the English in April 1746. Experience the powerful emotions in the Visitor Centre 360 degree theatre which puts you right in the action, and the calm, wild moorland where the battle took place.
